Ingredients
This is a planned section of the site, with most of its content in the planning and writing phase. Obviously, ingredients are critical to every meal that you prepare.
To cook the best food, having quality ingredients is the key to success. The most expensive ingredients aren’t necessarily the best ingredients – AND – most of the best ingredients can come right out of the ground in your yard. We will be focusing on both store-bought ingredients as well as on home-grown or homemade ingredients. Home-grown ingredients are a big part of what we do here. We grow herbs and vegetables in a relatively small plot, but our current goal is not to create food for sale and our personal consumption.
As we are launching this section, some of our fall crops have begun to get harvested, and we will be getting a new growing area ready for both fall and spring planting. We actually plan to start planting in January for vegetables to go in the ground in May. There will be many new ideas that we’ll be sharing with you throughout this section in the coming months.
When we launch this section in August of 2021, we will start with some great barbecue seasonings, just in time for college football season. Our new ‘grill pavilion’ will include tv and a new seating area to watch the games while we cook.
Stay tuned; we’ve got many things in the works here and will update you with the new content as we roll things out.
